Crush (Chapter 5)

The next day

Justin groaned, slowly stirring in bed as a wonderful aroma filled the air. He slowly fluttered his eyes open, and squinted them close as the sun beamed down on his face. "Mmm...what the hell is going on?" he spoke groggily, leisurely stepping out of bed. He entered the bathroom and closed the door. A few minutes later, he jogged down the stairs wearing a white wife beater, and dark baggy blue  sweat shorts. He focused in on Lisa who sat on the sofa watching television. "Good morning, Lisa." she gawked to the side to stare at him.

"Hey Justin." he headed towards the kitchen, and peering in to see someone he wasn't expecting. "Lex?" she quickly turned around to face him.

"Hey, baby. You're finally up." she instantly met lips with his. "Good morning. I made breakfast for you." he stared in confusion.

"Um...when did you get here." he glimpsed at his watch.

"I think around seven. Any way...did you sleep good? Have a seat." she pulled out a seat for him. He took his seat, and intertwined his fingers together as he watched her fix a plate of food.

"Baby...you didn't have to come all the way down here to fix me breakfast. It's not like we live ten minutes away from each other. You're in another city. Me..."

"Stop complaining. I wanted to do this. You cook for me all the time so why not cook for you? I feel that it's something very considerate. We have to take care of each other if we're gonna be married." she sat the plate in front of him.

"Thank you." he quickly prayed and began to eat.

"You welcome." she sat a glass of orange juice aside for him. "So...you guys go on tour tomorrow. I'm really gonna miss you." she kissed down his neck.

"I'm gonna miss you too. But...I'll only be gone for two months. I'm sure Lisa will keep you good company. She's a real party animal. Oh yeah...while I'm gone...I know how you like to throw parties...well...could you do me a favor? If you're gonna throw a few parties...don't let it happen here. Please. I mean...I don't want to have to clean up the place when I get back. My maids come twice a week and...I'm just trying to save some work for them. I know they have a life too."

"Don't worry. I won't throw any parties over here. I respect your decision. I might not throw any parties. I just won't feel right without you here."

"Lex..." Lisa entered the kitchen. "I just saw this GREAT gift on the commercial that you could get for the baby. It's this sort of...crib that has water built in it on the side and fake toy fishes swimming around in it. The baby would LOVE to see that. Ahaha." she gave her the look. "Oh...I'm sorry. I'll just leave."

"The baby? What baby?" Justin asked curiously.

"Huh? Oh...um...Katrina's baby. She's pregnant, and she's gonna have a baby shower soon so I was trying to decide on what I should get her. I forgot to tell you."

"Oh..." he nodded timidly. "Well I'm happy for her. I don't know WHY I'm always the one to get the news at the last minute." she chuckled.

"I know. Don't worry...so am I."
__________

Amy sipped her cup of coffee as she sat at the table in the kitchen. "Good morning, C." Whitney entered the kitchen. She looked up to gaze at her.

"Good morning." she spoke drowsily. Whitney fixed her a cup of coffee and took a seat across from her.

"So...how was your date with Nick?" she shrugged her shoulders, and sat her mug down.

"Well...everything was going okay until...he asked me to move in with him." her eyes lit up.

"He what?" she asked surprisingly.

"He wants me to move in with him. What am I supposed to do, Michelley? I mean...It's not like I don't wanna move in with him, but...we've only been dating for two months now. He's rushing into things. I don't hardly know him. What if he's a rapist or...you know...a serial killer." she chuckled pathetically.

"Amy...don't you think you're going a little too far with this? The guy OWNS a record company. Why would someone like that be a rapist...or a serial killer? If I was you...I would take the offer. I bet you won't have to pay rent for the rest of your life. Haha."

"Hmm...maybe you're right. BUT...what about you? Are you sure you can handle rent by yourself? You know how much rent is." her smile slowly faded.

"I haven't thought about that. Damn. Oh well. I guess that plan is screwed." she slouched and covered her face with both of her hands.

"I dunno. I guess." she sighed heavily.
__________

Jamie pulled up in front of a seven story building, and gawked to the side to stare at JC. "What time do you want me to pick you up?" he stepped out of the car and closed the door.

"Um...I'll call you when I'm ready. I don't know how long the photo shoot is gonna be." she smiled.

"Okay. Well aren't you forgetting something?" she held a teasing look.

"Oh yeah. My bad." he leaned over and met lips with hers. "Mmm I love you." she broke away and licked her lips.

"I love you too. So I'll see you in 'bout another hour or so."

"Alrighty. See ya' then. Bye."

"Bye." she pulled off. He entered the building and headed towards the elevators.
___________

Lance stepped out of his car and closed the door, gazing around the place. "Hey Lance." he looked over his shoulder to see Joey jogging up behind him.

"What's up?" he stuffed his hands in his pockets as they headed towards the building.

"Nothing much. I'm not really ready for tour. Usually I be but...my girlfriend is pregnant now and...I don't know if it will be the best decision to leave her."

"I'm sure she'll be fine. She'll have my girlfriend and the others to hang with while we're gone. I'm sure they'll find something to do."

"Guys wait up." they both looked over their shoulder to focus in on Chris who brisk walked towards them. "Hey. I wasn't sure if I was on time. I totally forgot about the shoot. I was chilling in the pool with Katelyn...when all of a sudden...this voice in my head was telling me I have to be at a photo shoot. Haha." they entered the building. "I don't think I'm ready for tour this time. I mean...everything seems different now."

"I know. I feel the same way. Everything is moving so fast. It's beginning to make me go paranoid. What am I supposed to do without Katrina for TWO months? God...I think I'm gonna die." they stepped on the elevator, and proceeded to the third floor.

Justin entered The Cosmogirl building and headed towards the elevators. He pressed the up button and leaned against the wall, waiting for the double doors to slid open. "Hey Justin." he locked eyes with the one and only Janet Jackson. His eyes lit up.

"Oh...hey, Janet. It's good to see you again." he embraced her in a hug.

"You too. What are you doing here?" she pulled away to stare in his eyes.

"Um...me and the guys are scheduled to do a photo shoot here for next months issue. We're gonna be on the front cover." he stuffed his hands in his pockets.

"Cool." she nodded.

"Yeah. So what are you doing here? Are you perhaps doing a photo shoot also?"

"Um...no. I just stopped by to see someone. I was on my way out."

"Oh." the elevator doors slid open. "Well..." he held them open. "...I gotta go now. I'm five minutes late. Maybe I'll see you around. I don't think anytime soon. We're back on tour tomorrow."

"Oh...I understand. As for me...I'm working on a movie next week any way. So...I'll be busy also." he smiled.

"That's cool. Well I wish you good luck in the movie. I gotta bounce now. See ya' later." he stepped on the elevator.

"Bye." he pressed the third floor button and watched the double doors close.
__________

Taneshia laid on the bed as she wrote in her diary. Tami on the other hand, jumped on the other bed located on the other side of the room as she listened to the new *N Sync CD full blast. "DO YOU EVER WONDER WHY...THIS MUSIC GETS YOU HIGH?!" she song out loud. "IT TAKES YOU ON A RIDE! YOU FEEL IT WHEN YOUR BODY STARTS TO RISE! BABY YOU CAN'T STOP! AND THE MUSIC'S ALL YOU GOT! THIS MUST BE...POP! DIRTY POP! BABY, BABY YOU CAN'T STOP! I KNOW YOU LIKE THIS DIRTY POP!" Taneshia rolled her eyes, and gazed at her.

"Tami...do you mind turning the music down a little notch? I'm trying to concentrate here."

"HUH?! WHAT WAS THAT?!" she spoke over the loud music.

"I SAID...COULD YOU TURN THE MUSIC DOWN A NOTCH?! I'M TRYING TO CONCENTRATE HERE!" she raised her voice.

"Renee?" her mother entered the room. "Could you turn that music down? You dad's trying to sleep." Tami instantly hopped off the bed and turned the music down. "Thank you, Tami." Taneshia rolled over on her back to gaze at the ceiling.

"Damn, Tami. You need to be more considerate when you come to other people's house. Remember you're not home." she warned.

"Alright, Ms. Mom." she joked.

____________

Justin entered room 493 and closed the door. "Finally." a woman instantly approached him with an outfit in her hands. "I want you to get dressed in this leather pants, and...blouse to go with it. You have five minutes. So make it quick." he accepted the outfit, keeping his eyes on her as she walked away.

"Damn...why is everyone in a rush all of a sudden?" he asked while heading towards the dressing rooms.

Five minutes later

Justin exited the dressing room, and headed down the hall. "Mr. Timberlake?" the same lady approached him. "Come on. You're lacking. We're on a ball." she grasped his arm and led him down the hall. He stared at her strangely as he pulled him along like a three year old. "Go where your friends are." he stuffed his hands in his pockets.

"Damn. Feisty women these days. I get enough of it at home. Now I have to deal with some other lady at work?" he spoke to Joey.

"Ahaha. Don't sweat it, man. We'll be outta here before you know it." JC entered the room.

"What's up guys?"

"Mister..." at the point, he was too busy checking out his wardrobe to hear what the lady had to say. "MISTER?!" she raised her voice. He quickly looked up to gaze at the lady. "Could you please..." she trailed off as she realized who he was. "Jace? Oh my god. Jace?"

"Kare-bear?" all of the guys held a strange look.

"Kare-bear?" the spoke in unison.

"Oh...Jace." she instantly embraced him in a hug.

"Excuse me, but can someone explain what the hell is going on?" Justin spoke up. "Look at you two? Hugging and shit. What about us? How come you get a good greeting, and the rest of us had to be thrown around? I personally don't think that's fair at all." he chuckled.

"Sorry. Kare-bear is an old friend of mines. Actually...she's a long lost best friend. She moved away when she was twelve, and we never saw each other again. We were just catching up on old times." he rolled his eyes.

"Bullshit. Another thing. What's up with this name? Kare-bear? Who would name their daughter Kare-bear?"

"Oh...that's not her real name. It's a nickname I gave her a long time ago."

"Yeah. My name is Karen." she replied. "Nice to finally meet you all. Sorry for my behavior. I just thought you were like those other teen pop groups who don't care about anything." he lifted an eyebrow in curiosity.

"Hmm. Okay."

"Well...what I want you guys to do now is...get together. We have to start the shoot. If everyone participates the way you should...you'll be outta here in no time."

An half hour later

"GREAT GUYS! Hold still. One more shoot."

SNAP SNAP SNAP

"Alright. That should be all I need."

Tiffani danced in the rehearsal room to Nsync's "Up Against the wall" the phone rung loud and clear throughout the room. "Shit." she turned the music off, and ran up towards the phone. She picked it up and placed it beside her ear. "Hello?"
__________

Kelsey laid on stomach on the resting chair out on the patio where the pool was located, tanning her body. She closed her eyes, enjoying the warmth of the sun beaming down on her. All of a sudden, she was startled by a scream. She quickly sat up, her eyes instantly focusing in on the house beside theirs. She focused in on the second floor, in a room where a guy was hitting a girl with a cord. Her eyes lit up of astonishment. "Oh my god."

Justin entered the house, and closed the door behind him. "Hey Justin. Johnny called." Lisa instantly approached him. "He was reminding you about the tour. He said...he hopes you have your plane ticket. Your flight is at ten in the morning, and you are to reach the tour buses in Memphis around nine that same night."

"Okay. Thanks for telling me." he headed up the stairs and entered the room where Alexia was located. She looked up to gaze at him, and smiled. "Hey."

"Hey, baby." she sat up, and stepped out of bed. "I missed you." she slowly approached him, instantly wrapping her arms around his neck.

"I missed you too." he slowly met lips with hers. "So what have you been up to while I was gone?"

"Oh nothing. Just watching TV." she sat on the bed, and crossed her leg over the other. "Well...I gotta piss." he quickly entered the bathroom, and lifted up the stool. He unzipped his jeans, and yanked them down. "Mmm." he tilted his head back as he released his fluids. "Whew. Boy...this feels good. I thought I was gonna piss in my pants. Ahaha." he flushed the toilet, and pulled back up his jeans, zipping them back up. "Hmm?" his eyes focused in on the toilet as the water was rising further to the top. "Shit. Baby..." he gazed around the bathroom for the plunger. "Lex...did you see the plunger? This damn toilet is stopped up. SHIT!" he raised his voice, quickly finding the plunger, and plunging the inside of the toilet. "Damn. It still won't go down." all of a sudden, water began spilling out of the back part of the toilet. "What the hell...Lex...what the hell is going on in here?" he lifted the top, and scrutinized the inside part, suddenly focusing in on a small tube looking item that was floating in the water. "Hmm. What is this?" he carefully picked it up and scrutinized it carefully. "What the hell? Lex?" he exited the bathroom and entered the room, holding the small tube in his hand. "Can you tell me what the hell is this? If you asked me...it looks like a pregnancy test." her eyes lit up.

"Um..." she forced herself to find a word to say.

"What the hell was this doing inside that thing?" he spoke angrily.

"I...um...how the hell should I know? I mean...why would I do something so stupid." she spoke without eye contact.

"Well I know Lisa wouldn't do a thing like this. Plus...why would she be in my room in the first place? You were here all day." she held her head down. "I know it didn't just jump in there itself. Which reminds me...you WERE puking lately." she quickly looked up to gaze in his eyes.

"What are you trying to say? That I'm pregnant? That's nonsense. Come on now. If I was...I would've told you."

"I'm beginning to think that gift thingy was for you." she stared in shock, mouth hung open.

"How could you say something like that? You don't trust me? Is that it?" she began to get pissed off.

"Oh no, baby. This has NOTHING to do with TRUST! I wanna know HOW THE HELL DID THIS THING GET IN THE TOILET! YOU KNOW DAMN WELL IT DIDN'T JUST HOP IN THERE!" he yelled. "AND YOU CAN'T BLAME IT ON A BABY BECAUSE WE DON'T HAVE ONE, AND THERE'S NO BABY THAT LIVES HERE! NOT IN MY HOUSE!" she held her head down as she began to cry silently. "Why are you crying? Is it because you're lying to me? Huh, Lex? Just tell me the truth."

"I...I am tellin you the truth." she sniffled.

"Are you positive?" a knock on the door startled the two. "Uh...come in." the door slowly flew open and Lisa peered in the room.

"Hey...Um...I heard yelling and I just wanted to see if everything was okay." he forced a smile on his face.

"Yeah. Don't worry about us. Everything's fine." he answered.

"Why is she crying?" she asked with concern.

"Oh...well it's nothing. We're just...having a little talk...if you know what I mean. I found this pregnancy test in the toilet after I flushed it. It happened to stuff it. I just wanted to know how did it get in there because I know it didn't get there by itself."

"Uh oh. Um...I'll just leave you two alone."

"NO! You know something, don't you?" she held a confused look.

"What are you talking about? I..."

"Lisa...get in here and close the door now." she gulped down, and slowly stepped in the room, closing the door behind her. "Now...could you tell me how did it get in there since my fiancé doesn't have a clue?"

"How should I know how it got in there? I never came in your room."

"I know you didn't. I just...well first of all...what is this pregnancy test doing in the house? Somebody had to use it." he slowly locked eyes with Alexia. "Can you answer that?" she gulped down and held her head down. "Answer me, Lex. I'm tired of this quiet mode. You always get like this when you're in some trouble." his eyes burned a hole into her. "Now are you gonna tell me the truth?" she licked her lips, hesitant to speak. "Lisa...you could leave now." she quickly pulled the door open and left the room. "Baby?" he took a seat beside her. "I'm not gonna hurt you. I just wanna know if you used this? Can you tell me how it got in there? Please baby." he spoke softly. She slowly looked up to meet eye contact with him.

"Well...I...I bought it...about a week ago." she stammered.

"And can you tell me why?" she fiddled with her fingers nervously.

"Well...I just...had this feeling that I was pregnant. Something...well this voice kept telling me...just try it. You know...to be sure. So...I bought it." she looked away.

"Okay, and...did you use it? Well...tell me why did you put it in the toilet?" she slowly began to cry.

"Because...I was trying to hide it." she cried, covering her face with both of her hands. "I'm so sorry, Justin."

"No..." he wrapped his arm around her. "Don't cry. Shh." he kissed her on the cheek. "Can you tell me why were you trying to hide it?"

"No. I...I can't. Oh god." she cried hysterically.

"Baby...I'm not gonna hurt you. Just tell me. Why did you hide it?" she sniffled profoundly, wiping underneath her diluted eyes.

"I...hid it...because...I found out...I was pregnant. That's why...I hid it." it felt like his heart had stopped. He didn't expect to hear the news that she had just confessed.

"You're...pregnant?" he stood up, backing away from her. "You can't be serious." she nodded meekly.

"I'm sorry. Really sorry." she sniffled.

"I can't believe you. You lied to me all along. The puking and stomach problems. Now it all fits perfectly. It can't be my baby." her eyes lit up.

"What? What do you mean? You were my first. DID YOU FORGET THAT?!" she yelled.

"I'm beginning to think you lied all along."

"Listen to yourself. You KNOW DAMN WELL I'M HAVING YOUR CHILD! I LOST MY VIRGINITY TO YOU BECAUSE I LOVED YOU! I DIDN'T KNOW YOU WERE GONNA REACT LIKE THIS! WHY CAN'T YOU JUST FACE IT?! YOU'RE GONNA BE A FATHER, AND THERE'S NOTHING YOU CAN DO ABOUT IT!" she yelled.

"I gotta get outta here." he dropped the pregnancy test, and exited the room.

"JUSTIN?!" she called. He jogged down the stairs, and out the house, hopping in his car, and pulling out of the drive way, speeding away...never looking back.
