Chapter 10

Eight days later (November 30th, 2010)

“Jen…could you pass me the butter, please?” Jennifer handed Christina the bucket of butter and continued chopping up celery.

“Mommy…this boy likes me in school. He says he thinks I’m really cool.” she chuckled.

“Really? So you have an admirer?”

“Well…I have ADMIRERS!” she corrected. Her eyes lit up.

“A lot of boys are crawling at your feet? I was the same way in school. So many boys had crushes on me. Especially when I hit high school. The guys out there fell in love with me  because I was BOWLEGGED! Ahaha. Dumb, huh? You’re bowlegged too. Just like mommy.” she giggled. “Your father fell in love with me because of my walk. He thinks I have a pretty walk, and…delicious looking legs.”

“Delicious looking legs? HAHA!”

“Yep. Hand me that measuring cup.” she handed her the measuring cup that was located by the mixer. “Any way…” she sighed.

“How did you and dad meet?”

“Hmm well…we met in this club called “The Mickey Mouse Club”.” she gasped.

“Wow. I watch that show all the time.”

“Yeah, but…we made a newer version of it. Any hoo…your dad and I couldn’t get along at the time. He was more into your god mother at that point.”

“Really?”

“Yes, really.” the doorbell rung.

“I’ll get it.” Jennifer ran out of the kitchen and towards the front door. She unlocked it and pulled it open to gaze at a familiar person.

“Have you ever heard the wolf cry to the new born moonnnnn.” Christina song  Pocahontas song.

“Mommy…somebody wants you at the door.”

“Shit. I’m coming.” she lowered the fire and exited the kitchen, heading to the front door. “Who is it?” she peered out the door to see a lady who looked VERY familiar to her. “Britney? What are you doing here?”

“Um…I came to apologize for…all the bad things I’ve done.” she slowly began to cry. ‘I’m really sorry Christy. I just…was a complete fool. Do you forgive me?”

“Hmm…let me see…NOPE! I DON’T! you almost caused my family to break up AND you tried to kill my husband. That phony act of yours is NOT gonna work any more. I thought I could trust you. Justin was right. You haven’t changed. and I was a fool to believe you and take your side all this time. Now I would advise you to leave before I put my foot SO FAR up your ass AND rotate it. Our friendship is over.”

“Um…okay.” she slowly turned and stepped off the porch.

“Bye, mom.” Jennifer spoke up.

“Don’t call her that anymore.” she pulled her inside the house and closed the door. “You won’t be seeing her for a very LONG time.”
