Chapter 4

The next day

Kiara knocked on Justin's door, and stood there, waiting for a response. A few seconds later, someone pulled the door open. There stood a brunette woman, wearing a shorts set. She removed her shades, and tilted her head forehead, giving her an odd look. "Who are you?" she asked.

"Um..." Kiara crossed her arms over her chest. "I'm Kiara. Your new next door neighbor. Is...Justin in?" Patricia shook her head, brushing her hair from out of her face.

"Nope. He's not here. He left a few hours ago. Don't ask me where. I have no idea."

"Pat." someone called her. "Hurry back." she giggled softly, locking eyes with Kiara's.

"Sorry. I have to go now. See ya' later." she turned, closing the door on her way back in the living room. Kiara slowly turned, and stepped off the porch, heading down the sidewalk towards her house.

"Where could he be?" she spoke, stuffing her hands in her pockets the closer she had gotten to her house.

"Kiara?" she heard someone call behind her. She hastily twirled around, instantly focusing in on a burgundy Mercedes Benz parked on the side of Justin's house. A familiar guy stepped out of the car, and approached her. A smile slowly formed on her face, realizing how much she missed him.

"Justin? Hey. Um..." she jogged up towards him. "Hi. I...just came from your house. Your sis said you were there. I was wondering where could you have possibly been." she exhaled, stuffing her hands back in her pockets. His eyes slowly trailed down her figure. She wore a halter top, and blue shorts, revealing her thighs perfectly. He finally locked eyes with hers with a smirk on his face.

"I just came from the store. I had to get a few things for my mother. Then...I was gonna head downtown and just...do some sight seeing. What about you? You have anything planned?" he couldn't help but gaze at her thighs every now and then. How delicious they looked.

"No. I...I was just gonna...finish unpacking. You know...the little things. I finished all of the big things yesterday with your help of coarse. But...I gotta work on the other things. Then...I was gonna...go shopping for food. Finally...fill up my fridge. I was hoping you'd join me, that's why I stopped by your house, but...I see you have...other plans to take care of." she looked over his shoulder to gaze at a lady sitting on the passenger's side of his car. "Uh...who is that?" he looked over his shoulder, realizing who she was referring to, then he gazed back her way.

"Um...that's just...a friend of mine. We were...chillin' out with each other. But...I'm taking her home now." he stammered lightly. She nodded timidly, slowly locking eyes with his.

"Uh...well I guess I should be finishing up on what I had to do. I'll..." she began backing away, towards her house. "...see you later." she turned, rushing towards her house.

"Wait...Kiara." she entered her house, and closed the door behind her. "Shit." he turned, heading towards his house.

Five hours later

Kiara jogged down the stairs, and in the living room, heading to the kitchen where an aroma filled the air. She tightened her robe in the front as she entered the kitchen. "Mmm...lovely brownies." she grabbed her mitten and pulled the oven door open, peering at the nice, fluffed brownies that baked. "Mmm." she moaned, closing her eyes and inhaling the magnificent smell. Her doorbell startled her a bit. Her eyes instantly flew open. "What the..." she removed the brownies from out of the oven and sat them on the counter. "Who is it?" she asked, rushing towards the front door. "Damn." she peered out the peep hole to gaze at a familiar person standing on her porch with a bouquet of flowers. "Oh..." she unlocked the door, slowly pulling it open to come face to face with the handsome guy. "Hey."

A massive smile formed on his face. "Hey um...I...you look nice." he spoke, gazing at the robe she wore. She rolled her eyes playfully, taking a quick glimpse at her robe, then gazing back up to stare at him.

"Yeah right. I'm only wearing a robe." he chuckled softly.

"But you still look nice." she placed her hand on her hip and gazed at the roses he held in his hand.

"Um...who are those for?" he gazed at them, then lifted his head to lock eyes with hers.

"Um...they are for you. I...picked them out myself." she smiled warmly.

"Aw...um..." she accepted them and smelled the keen scent. "They're beautiful." gradually, she looked up to meet eye contact with him. "Thank you. I...really appreciate it." he nodded in response.

"No problem." she bit the bottom of her lip and held her head down, chuckling to herself.

"Do you...wanna come in? I was just...making dinner for myself. I wouldn't mind...having company. That is...if you're up for it." he chuckled, giving her a calm look.

"Sure." she stood aside, allowing him to enter the house.

"Have a seat on the sofa." she spoke, closing the door. "I'm just gonna put these in some water. I'll be back." he took a seat on the sofa as he watched her brisk walk towards the kitchen, entering it aftewards.
