Chapter 14

Justin rubbed through Rebecca’s hair as she slept. “Your love is like a river. Peaceful and deep. Your soul is like a secret that I never could keep. When I look into your eyes I know that it’s true…” he was interrupted by ‘Bye Bye Bye’. That was playing on the television. He turned it up a little.

“…you’re probably gonna start a fight. I know this can’t be right. Hey baby come on. I loved you endless. When you weren’t there for me. So now it’s time to leave. And make it alone. I know that…” Justin looked at Rebecca who was stirring. I guess his squeaky voice almost woke her up. “…don’t wanna be a fool for you. Just another player in your game for two. You may hate me but it ain’t no lie. Baby, bye bye bye. Don’t really wanna make it tough. I just wanna tell you that I’ve had enough. Might sound crazy but it ain’t no lie. Baby, bye bye bye.” Rebecca suddenly jumped out of bed and song along with the song. “…you just hit me with the truth…” she looked at the stunned Justin.

“This is my favorite part.” She continued to sing.

“…so give me one good reason, baby come on. I live for you and me…” Justin cut the t.v. off.

“Aw, man. Why did you do that?” Rebecca whined as she sat on the bed.

“How are you feeling?”

“I’m still a little shocked over what happened. How could Britney do that?”

“I don’t know. This was my first time seeing her for the past year or two. It’s kinda weird how she showed up here.”

“Something’s not right about this story. I can feel it.”

Ring Ring Ring

“I’ll get it” Justin picked up the receiver. “Hello…yeah this is him. Hello, how are you? Britney? Joanne?” Rebecca listened carefully. “Oh really? Thank you for notifying me about this. Thank you. Okay. Bye” he hung up.

“What happened?” he sat closer to her.

“Joanne hired Britney to come kill us” Rebecca’s eyes lit up.

“Oh my God”

“They found out by Britney and turned Joanne in.”

“Why would she want to do this?”

“I guess, because she saw us today and got very upset. Any way their serving 10 years in prison.”

“I guess Britney won’t be able to make any music for a while.”

“Oh she will. They’ll let her out only to record her music and make videos etc. but she’s going to go back after she’s done.”

“Oh. But she won’t be able to spend her money.”

“That’ll teach her not to try and kill anyone” Rebecca felt a pain in her stomach.

“Ow ow ow” she crouched down and moaned.

“Baby…what’s wrong?”

“My stomach. It’s hurting”

“Just…lay down, and tell me what’s going on with your stomach” she slowly laid down and held her stomach.

“Ow. It keeps hurting”

“What’s wrong?”

“Mmm.” She moaned. “Um. I think my water just broke”

“What?” his eyes expanded.
