Inside information: Oh lord...now I can admit that this one the worse story I have ever wrote. I don't know what I was thinking. I was too bored. That's what it was. Well...a few ppl thought the story was okay, but to me...it actually didn't make any sense. I was just...bored and I wanted to do something. I don't wanna throw it away, so...I just put it on the site. Maybe someone out there will like it. Who knows? THE FAIR was written in the middle of '00...never revised. It took me a few days to write this story. I was at a fair when I came up with the idea.

SPENDING TIME TOGETHER

(CHAPTER 5)

“It’s beautiful out here” I said as we were sitting on the sand. It was like we were already a couple, because we all were by ourselves with one of the guys. “So could I ask you something Justin?”

“Sure. Anything”

“Well do you know why it’s so designated around here. I mean…we haven’t even seen anybody around here ever since we’ve been here. There’s even nobody at this park, but us”.

“That’s the same question I asked myself when we first moved here”.

“Are you guys brothers?”

“No, but you could say we are, because we’ve known each other since we were jits”.

“You stay with your mother?”

“Of coarse not. She stays right around the corner from me. The guys and I stay together”.

“Oh. That’s cool”.

“Yeah it is”. He gazed out at the sky.

“So what do you do in your spare time?”

“Well I sing with my group *N Sync. Those are…” he pointed to them. “…my partners. We sing everywhere, but not anywhere here”.

“Why?” I gave him a questionable look. He was so cute. He had dark brown curly hair, and blue eyes. He was so gorgeous.

“Because there is nobody around here that could come see us. This place is like a ghost town. We never thought we’d actually see new neighbors”.

“Yeah that is weird”.

“I tried asking my mother how did she even got offered her house, but she always changed the subject. It was like she was hiding something from me”.

*~*~*~*~*~

“How long have you been staying down here?” Samantha asked.

“About a year”. Lance said.

“Is it fun down here, because it really looks boring. There’s nobody I see hanging around. It’s just…dead”.

“I’m tellin’ you. This is a boring place you could ever live in. It shouldn’t be called LOVELYVILLE. It should be called BORINGVILLE”. He chuckled.

“THEY HAD THE NERVE TO CALL THIS NEIGHBORHOOD LOVELYVILLE?”

“Yep”

“What a disgrace. I heard of Jacksonville, and Amityville, but Lovelyville. What is this world coming to?”

“No, what is this neighborhood coming to? It’s probably going to be extinct soon”.

“A neighborhood extincting?” I laughed. “I’ve heard of people or animals extincting, but a neighborhood?” I continued to laugh.

Lance couldn’t help but to laugh at me

“You know…” I sighed. “…I really like you. And I don’t care if this neighborhood stays this way. As long as I have you guys to talk to I’ll be fine”. She laid her head on his shoulder.

*********

“You guys ready to go? It’s getting dark”. Nancy asked running towards me and Justin.

“I guess” Justin stood up and offered me a hand, and helped me up.

“Thanks”. We all walked out of the park area.

“Where are these people?” Kim asked while we were walking.

“Don’t bother asking us. We can’t give you an answer”. Chris said.

We kept walking until we got to this light pole that had a big red sign. It read in big black bold lettering: ‘THE FAIR (MAGICAL VILLAGE) IS COMING IN TOWN ON JANUARY 2ND-5TH. LOCATED AT THE NEXT RIGHT BY THE ARNOLD’S CLOTHES STORE. BE THERE!’

“How are they going to put a fair up in town and it seems like nobody lives here, but us”. Nancy asked shaking her head.

“That’s weird. What’s today?” Kathy asked as she took a closer look at the poster.

“It’s the 3rd, why?” Justin asked.

“Well because today when we drove by the clothes store on our way to our house, we didn’t see a fair setup”.

We all looked stunned.
