Inside information: Oh lord...now I can admit that this one the worse story I have ever wrote. I don't know what I was thinking. I was too bored. That's what it was. Well...a few ppl thought the story was okay, but to me...it actually didn't make any sense. I was just...bored and I wanted to do something. I don't wanna throw it away, so...I just put it on the site. Maybe someone out there will like it. Who knows? THE FAIR was written in the middle of '00...never revised. It took me a few days to write this story. I was at a fair when I came up with the idea.

LET’S GET SERIOUS

(CHAPTER 7)

JANUARY 5TH

“IT’S BEEN THREE DAYS AND WE STILL HAVEN’T SEEN A SOUL IN THIS NEIGHBORHOOD. Maybe we should go to the fair tonight and we should go to the fair tonight”. Kathy said jumping on her bed. We were all in Kathy’s room discussing a few things.

“Why don’t we go to this so-called fair tonight and see if we’ll find some people”. Kim said as she paced back and fourth. “It should be some people there. If ya’ know what I mean?” her eyebrows lifted up.

“I don’t know. I mean what makes you think we will see the fair tonight. We didn’t see it the other night” I was really getting tired of hearing about this fair.

“Well we’ll just have to see about that. It wouldn’t hurt to check again”.

“Well…I don’t care. I’m going to Justin’s house”, I walked out of the room and went in mother’s room. She was getting dressed. I decided to ask her about the red poster again. Maybe she could tell me more details since she’s wide awoke. “Um…Ma’ could I ask you how did the boy looked who gave you the red poster?” she turned to face me.

“Oh…well…he was tall. He had dark brown curly hair. And he was so cute”. She smiled

“Do you remember what outfit he was wearing?”

“Um…he had dark blue denim pants with…a Tommy shirt. Baby blue”.

“Oh my goodness”. I covered my mouth in shock.

“What’s wrong dear?” she walked towards me.

“Nothing”. I ran as fast as I could out of the room, downstairs, outside, ‘til I reached Justin’s house. I knocked on his door. It took him about 5 minutes to answer it. “Justin, need to speak to you”. I said as I walked in.

“What is it?” he had nothing but tommy boxers on.

“Okay. You’re probably gonna think I’m mental or crazy, but I need to ask you a question”.

“Alright well, sit down…” he gave me a chair to sit down on. “…talk to me”.

“Okay”. I exhaled. “This might sound crazy, but…weren’t you with me the other night at the park, right?”

“Well of coarse” he started to look crazy like he thought I was mental. “Why?”

“Because my mother said a young man came to her house”

“Yeah, and what that got to do with me?”

“Well he had dark brown curly hair, and wore dark blue denim pants with a baby blue Tommy shirt. She said he came to our house and gave her some red posters. He asked her if she could do him a favor and make some more posters and pass them out…I mean hang them up around the neighborhood. But what I don’t get, he sounded just like he looked like you. He wore the same outfit you wore that day. It’s just so weird. Every time we’re gone somewhere somebody appear in the neighborhood, but not when we’re around”.

“Whoa. Now that does sound weird. She said a boy who wore the same clothes I wore came to your house?”

“Yeah. But me and my sisters are going to the fair tonight, and see if we spot some people out there. So do you wanna come, you could bring your friends”.

“Well…” he squinted his eyes to think. “…I guess. What time?”

“We were thinking about leaving at 7”. I got up and walked to the door. Justin followed behind me and opened the door for me.

“Okay. So I’ll see you then”. I walked outside. “One more thing”. He gave me a hand signal to come closer to him.

“Yeah”. He held my chin up and kissed me, softly on the lips. He broke away.

“I’ll see you later” he said

I turned around and walked away. I turned back to see him still watching me. I bit the bottom of my lip as I waved at him. I stepped in the house and closed the door behind me. I leaned against the door and smiled. All I could think of is the kiss. It was a wonderful feeling. I was beginning to think I’m falling in love.

~~~~~~~~
6HRS LATER
We all went to Justin’s house. That’s where we met the rest of the fellas. After 10 minutes we all hopped in the car, but I just remember I forgot something. My wallet. “Justin you could stop me by my house right quick? I forgot something”.
“Yeah” he drove up my drive way and I got out. I just thought about something. I going to let him meet my mom. So I walked up to the driver’s side.
“Justin why don’t you come meet my mom”.
“I don’t think that’s a good idea”.
“Why not”. He couldn’t think of any thing. So before I gave him a chance to say any thing I opened the driver’s door.
“Come on. Get out. You will love my mother. I promise. Please”. He sighed and got out. I grabbed his arm and led him to my house. I opened the door and saw my mother sitting on the couch watching television. “She’s going to love you”. We walked closer to her. “Mother I would like you to meet somebody”.
She smiled. “Don’t I know you from somewhere?” Justin gave her a questionable look. “Yeah, now I know. You were the guy who came by my house the other day to give me the posters. Here…” she went to go get the posters and handed it to him. “…I finished them for you”.
“Mom what are you talking about? Justin was with me all the time”.
“No, but that’s him. I remember his face”.
“Come on Justin…” I grabbed his arms and took him to my room. “…she’s acting weird. I don’t know what she’s been drinking. But any way let me get my wallet”. I grabbed my wallet from off of my bed and we left the room. On my way out I said goodbye to my weird ol’ mom and left.
After 15 minutes we made It to the fair. “OH MY GOODNESS. LOOK AT THIS”
